Nepal earthquake 2015: Dozens of Britons yet to be traced

The International Committee of the Red Cross had said 90 were missing - but 23 have since been accounted for online.

The Disasters Emergency Committee, comprising the UK's leading aid agencies, has announced an appeal to raise money to help survivors.

According to Nepalese officials, at least 3,617 people have died and more than 6,500 people have been injured.

At least 18 people were killed in avalanches on Mount Everest.

The Foreign Office said it had not received reports of any Britons being killed or injured.

TV appeal

Buckingham Palace said the Queen was "shocked to hear of the appalling loss of life and injuries" and "her thoughts and prayers are with the victims".

It comes as the DEC Nepal Earthquake Appeal is to launch on the BBC, ITV Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky on Tuesday. A donation line and website has already opened ahead of the TV appeal.

Money raised will support the efforts to reach families affected by the disaster.
